WHO WE ARE
Joshua Tree Development Oversight Group, Inc. (JTDOG) is a California non-profit corporation formed by Joshua Tree residents and business people to ensure community participation in development and planning issues. Because Joshua Tree is an unincorporated part of San Bernardino County, it is extremely hard for ordinary citizens to have a voice in the planning decisions which greatly affect their future. JTDOG will act as a watchdog on the governmental land use process and act as a clearinghouse for information.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide educational and charitable assistance to the public regarding land use issues in and around Joshua Tree, California; to promote growth consistent with the Joshua Tree Community Plan and available resources; to work with developers to bring their projects into compliance with the Community Plan; on the public's behalf, to contest development not in compliance with County, State or Federal statutes and/or environmental policies.
TAX STATUS
JTDOG has applied for recognition as a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization under the IRS. Once this application is approved, all contributions will be tax deductible.
